L’Universit\u00e0 della Terza Et\u00e0 \u00e8 un programma avviato nel 2019 ad Atene che promuove e consente l’invecchiamento attivo. Attraverso l’apprendimento permanente e l’educazione digitale, le persone di et\u00e0 superiore ai 65 anni sono in grado di riunirsi e socializzare, apprendere nuove conoscenze e competenze e, nel complesso, migliorare la qualit\u00e0 della vita e la salute fisica e mentale. I corsi principali sono storia europea, filosofia greca, informatica, teatro, scrittura creativa, lingua inglese, cosmologia e narrazione intergenerazionale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le KAPI sono nate come un’importante pratica di politica sociale per sostenere l’invecchiamento della popolazione.\u00a0 Oggi, in Grecia, ogni comune \u00e8 responsabile di almeno una KAPI in cui gli anziani possono partecipare ad attivit\u00e0 come la pittura, l’esercizio fisico regolare, la partecipazione a viaggi, ad esempio la visita a musei, o l’assistenza medica e sociale, ad esempio la fisioterapia e il supporto psicologico. Le KAPI mirano a raggiungere molteplici obiettivi, come la prevenzione dei problemi biologici, psicologici e sociali degli anziani, al fine di rimanere membri autonomi, uguali e attivi della societ\u00e0.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L’obiettivo del programma \u00e8 quello di far conoscere ai bambini l’approccio metodologico della narrazione come modo per unire generazioni diverse, aumentando il tempo trascorso con i nonni. Questo programma contribuisce in modo significativo alla percezione che questa interazione pu\u00f2 essere interessante e divertente. L’obiettivo principale \u00e8 aumentare la quantit\u00e0 di tempo che i bambini trascorrono con gli anziani. Allo stesso tempo, il contatto degli anziani con i bambini li riempie di gioia e ottimismo e questi ultimi si sentono utili nella societ\u00e0 in quanto trasferiscono le loro conoscenze alle generazioni pi\u00f9 giovani.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Questa buona pratica \u00e8 un corso di formazione con i seguenti obiettivi: promuovere una metodologia di apprendimento intergenerazionale, favorire l’alfabetizzazione digitale degli anziani ultrasessantenni in Italia e incoraggiare la socializzazione e l’interazione tra studenti e anziani.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il progetto si basa su una serie di corsi di formazione realizzati in diverse regioni italiane del Sud Italia. I giovani studenti conducono questi corsi e i partecipanti sono anziani a rischio di esclusione sociale. I giovani studenti hanno il compito di trasmettere agli anziani conoscenze e informazioni pratiche sui dispositivi tecnologici.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il progetto consiste in un’ampia gamma di attivit\u00e0 che mirano a far interagire e socializzare gli anziani. La maggior parte di queste attivit\u00e0 mira a trasferire conoscenze teoriche sugli stili di cucina e a sensibilizzare sull’importanza di uno stile di vita sano, soprattutto quando si tratta di cittadini fragili. Molte attivit\u00e0 includono esercizi pratici in cui gli anziani possono imparare “sul campo” nuove nozioni e tecniche in modo che la loro esperienza complessiva sia divertente e fruttuosa.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Palermo apre le porte<\/b><\/h3>\n

Si tratta di un’iniziativa che si concentra principalmente sulla riscoperta del patrimonio storico-culturale della citt\u00e0 di Palermo. Ogni scuola coinvolta sceglie uno specifico sito del patrimonio (monumento, chiesa, piazza, ecc.) e ne apprende tutte le informazioni. Poi, nelle giornate del 7-8 maggio 2016, gli stessi studenti “aprono” i siti del patrimonio storico al pubblico, presentando e spiegando le caratteristiche principali di ciascun sito. Una strategia simile viene applicata nel Centro Diurno Anziani, dove gli anziani cercano specificamente informazioni sulla Sorgente del Gabriele, utilizzando libri, vecchi giornali e anche Internet. Poi, nei giorni 7-8 maggio 2016, presentano la Sorgente del Gabriele al grande pubblico.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nella regione italiana dell’Emilia Romagna, i Centri diurni sono abituati a organizzare piccoli spettacoli teatrali, cori, letture di racconti e poesie in occasione delle festivit\u00e0 italiane. La buona pratica consisteva nel trasferire questo insieme di conoscenze e competenze consolidate degli anziani in un’iniziativa volta a dare sollievo e gioia ai bambini ricoverati.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ogni Centro diurno per anziani coinvolto sceglie una fiaba e gli anziani si recano all’Ospedale S. Orsola-Malpighi, portando tutto il materiale preparato, e recitano le fiabe per i bambini ricoverati. <\/span><\/p>\n

Aldeias de Mem\u00f3ria<\/b><\/h3>\n

This good practice is held in very typical villages of the interior of Portugal. Some of those\u00a0 villages are almost abandoned. The younger people left, and the only people living there are seniors. In eight of those villages the elderly tell stories to those who visit them. Their profiles were included in a website with the support of the City Hall and Parish Councils.<\/span><\/p>\n

Questa buona pratica mira a promuovere i villaggi tipici dell’interno del Portogallo attraverso l’arte di raccontare storie e racconti delle regioni. Alcuni di questi villaggi sono quasi abbandonati, poich\u00e9 le giovani generazioni hanno dovuto cercare lavoro e opportunit\u00e0 in altri luoghi geografici. L’approccio del progetto \u00e8 consistito nell’andare di villaggio in villaggio a raggiungere gli anziani e chiedere loro di condividere storie vicino a un camino e accompagnate dal cibo pi\u00f9 genuino della regione.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Questo programma \u00e8 stato creato per unire tutte le Universit\u00e0 per anziani del Paese, in modo da condividere le buone pratiche tra loro. RUTIS promuove studi sulla popolazione anziana per capire i loro bisogni e il funzionamento dei programmi di assistenza sociale. Il riconoscimento dell’importanza dei volontari anziani ha acquisito una certa importanza negli ultimi anni come modo per incoraggiare l’inclusione sociale degli anziani.<\/span><\/p>\n

Si tratta di un programma nazionale iniziato nel 1993. Il progetto ha creato biblioteche mobili, attraverso le quali gli anziani possono trasmettere le loro conoscenze ed esperienze alle nuove generazioni. Gli anziani portano le loro conoscenze culturali e storico-artistiche ai bambini e ai giovani studenti, oltre che agli anziani e ad altri gruppi esclusi dalla possibilit\u00e0 di trarre beneficio dal piacere della cultura.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Orchards of La Candamia\u00a0 <\/b><\/h3>\n

Questa buona pratica \u00e8 stata realizzata dal 1995 dal Comune di Le\u00f3n a La Candamia, un grande giardino della citt\u00e0 di Le\u00f3n. In quest’area naturale il Comune ha creato frutteti ricreativi per gli anziani. I frutteti sono coltivati con tecniche tradizionali che rivalutano le conoscenze degli anziani.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c8 stato dimostrato che si tratta di un’eccellente terapia occupazionale e ricreativa per gli anziani, che offre loro spazi liberi alternativi che consentono di svolgere attivit\u00e0 fisiche a contatto con la natura.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L’iniziativa consisteva nel formare persone anziane che diventassero mentori di adolescenti, fungendo da guida, modello e fornendo loro sostegno. <\/span><\/p>\n

The University of the Third Age is a programme that started on 2019 in Athens which\u00a0 promotes and enables active ageing. The main courses\u00a0 are European History, Greek Philosophy, Computers, Drama, Creative Writing, English\u00a0 language, Cosmology, and Intergenerational Storytelling.<\/span><\/p>

The project is based on a series of training courses implemented in various Italian Regions in the South of Italy. This is an initiative that mainly focuses on the re-discovery of the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Palermo. Each involved school picks up a specific heritage site (monument, church, square, etc.) and learns all the information about it. Then, in the days of 7-8 May 2016, the same students \u201copen\u201d the historical heritage sites to the\u00a0 general public, presenting and explaining the main characteristics of each heritage site. A similar strategy is applied in the Centro Diurno Anziani (Public Centre for elderly people), where the elderly specifically search for information about the\u00a0 Sorgente del Gabriele, using books, old newspapers and the Internet as well. In the Italian region of Emilia Romagna, the Day Centres are used to organising small theatre\u00a0 performances, choirs, readings of short stories and poems on the occasion of the Italian\u00a0 festivities. The good practice consisted of transferring this set of consolidated knowledge\u00a0 and skills of the elderly into an initiative aiming to provide relief and joy to hospitalised\u00a0 children.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Each involved Day Centre for elderly people chooses a fairy tale and the elderly go to S. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital, bringing all the prepared\u00a0 equipment, and recite the fairy tales for the hospitalised children.<\/span><\/p>

This programme was created to unify all the Senior Universities of the country, so that they share good practices among them. RUTIS promotes studies about the elderly population to understand their needs and how the Social Assistance programmes are working. The applicants submit their applications and a panel of judges evaluates every project and decides which project deserves to be funded.<\/span><\/p>

Elderly cultural volunteers to show Museums to children, youngsters and retired people<\/b><\/h3>

This is a national programme that started in 1993. The project created mobile libraries, through which older people can\u00a0 pass their knowledge and experience to the younger generations. Older people bring their cultural and historical-artistic knowledge to children and young students, as well as to older\u00a0 people and other groups that are excluded from the possibility to take benefits of cultural\u00a0 pleasure.<\/span><\/p>

The Orchards of La Candamia\u00a0 <\/b><\/h3>

This good practice is being carried out since 1995 by the Municipality of Le\u00f3n in La\u00a0 Candamia, a big garden of the city of Le\u00f3n. In this natural area the City Council has created leisure orchards for elderly people. The orchards are cultivated using traditional techniques\u00a0 that revalorise the knowledge of the elderly.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

It has been proved to be an excellent occupational and leisure therapy for older people,\u00a0 providing them with alternative free spaces that allow them to carry out physical activities\u00a0 in contact with nature.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>

This good practice was a European project aiming to prevent early school leaving in adolescents and, at the same time, enabling a path for active aging by making elderly people\u00a0 able to provide an important social contribution.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The initiative consisted of training elderly people to become mentors of teenagers, serving\u00a0 them as a guide, model, and providing them support. <\/span><\/p>
