First meeting in Espinho (Portugal) for the TSITour project, that focuses on the Storytelling competences for the elderly people

Have you ever thought that elderly people do not have enough space in the society? Have you ever thought that your country is not a place for elderly people? The TSITour project aims to foster the active participation of the elderly people. The partnership consists of experts in the field of education and social work (educators, social operators, project managers, etc.), coming from different European countries.

Specifically, the TSITour project aims to train social workers on how to implement initiatives that develop/enhance the storytelling competencies of elderly people under social care, encouraging their integration in the active society. As first step, the partners met in Espinho (Portugal) on 23 and 24 January 2020 in order to set the initial research activities aimed to gather best practices and opinions from different types of professional coming from the two key sectors of the project: tourism and social area.
